As part of the Snowflake Festival, the official opening of the Gastro courtyyard took place, where various events will be held in the future.
The opening was followed by a presentation of the project, something of an award ceremony.
Within the framework of the festival, an exhibition of their products was held by local producers and artisans in the border area, and visitors could also taste local delicacies. This was followed by workshops and lectures for the general public.

Competition of ideas for making souvenirs
In case you deal with producing of local products, or handicraft and you have an idea of a souvenir related to the five products – fragrant elderberry, healing buckwheat, flowers of meadows and forests, orchids and fairy garden – or for making GardEN regions and sales of the new product packages popular, then please apply for the invitation!

Snapshots of the orchid festival
The central event, jointly organized by TIC Moravske Toplice and Ocean Orchids took place on Saturday, 24th November, 2018 within the framework of the GardEN project. The visitors were given a taste from the tropical delicacies – these were made by Bostjan lacen and colleagues and Liljana Lukac introduced the visitors into the mystic world of jewellery making, they prepared Christmas ornaments and could know everything about caring for orchids, they got ideas from Han Meerhoff Dutch florist how to make festive decorations. Cither band of the bilingual elementary school of Dobronak and folk dancers of the bilingual elementary school of Pártosfalva and the Singers of Dobronak performed in the occasional cultural program.
The project, with the target of stimulating the service providers for development of such products that would be attractive for the visitors was implemented within the framework of Interreg V-A Slovenia -Hungary Cooperation Program, with the support of the European Regional Development Fund and its main goal is to provide attractive offers for the tourists also beyond the touristic centres.
The tropical garden attracts many domestic and foreign visitors. The project makes it possible to improve the products related to the tropical garden and to orchids, so it opens the possibility for the different creators in the most diverse fields. The Orchids festival of the autumn will be followed with the Elderberry festival in spring and the Buckwheat festival in the second half of the summer, and they will surely give the possibility for other creative and innovative masterminds to introduce.
By the end of the year marking of the GardEN Energy way will be complete between Slovenia and Hungary, with the starting point in Lukcevci at the gravel mine. And in the fabulous December the participants will research the energy point of the GardEN Energy way in the framework of six workshops.
